Thursday 20th. Chapel. Lecture on Livy from 11 to 12. From
one till two, lecture on Logic,- which we are to attend three
times a week. I think Aldrich’s text is the very worst that
could have been selected by the University. In Bodln. rest of
the day. In the evening, I generally read Greek. Today
I called on the sub-tutor, Mr Tiddiman, & offered to
attend his lectures on Virgil & Herodotus.
