St Gregory in old English verse — Sec. 14 — contd. ^in hand of Sec. 15.) #### the
copy of “Speculum Edwardi III. sive de gubernatione Regni, secundum
justitiani, per Simonem Islip, archiepiscopum“, which is itself a late
transcript of ^the 16. Cent~y. on paper. Its object is to remonstrate against
the extortions of the King’s purveyors, – & some curious notices relative
to this class of people are mentioned. Met my brother & walked
till 1/2 past 5.
