Friday 27^th. At Mus^m. Began ^to copy the Chron. Fr’is Willielmi de Rishanger,

Claud. D.6. which is a continuation of Matth. Paris. The MS. is ⁱⁿ###

folio, & contains several other Chronicles, & Historical pieces, written

in a good hand of _^^the 13 Centy. & some later. Bought a new silver

huntg watch, for which I gave ^£2.15.0, & my old one. _^^{[given me by my father in 1818]} – Am quite

satisfied with the bargain. My old one, was the first present I 

ever received from my father, for which he paid ^£2.0.0. – which

never went right, & was always an eyesore to me – as a proof

of my father‘s meanness. . He let me buy the seals myself, altho’

at that time – at .18. receiving from him, by way of pocketmoney

only ^£1.0.0. per Ann^m.! #################
