Tuesday 28th. Beautiful day. Walked to the Chalybeate
& the Valley. It was too wet to sit down, & I made myself
very miserable. I would not call,– after Mrs D‘s foolish
behavior yesterday, but walked about by myself till
4 oC. when I met Miss H. & M. in a pony chaise.
I walked with them till ½ past five, & promised
to drink tea with them, which I did.
