Monday 3.d. Walked up to town with Henry & went to the

Musm. Mr Petrie (^to whom I wrote yesterday, to inform him of

my arrival) was not there – so I went on with the collation

of the ^A. Saxon Laws – begun before I left town. Met Henry at four

oC. & walked with him till ½ past five. Called on Mrs. ^Louis Goldsmid

to decline an invitation for Wednesday next. At the Graafs

are at present, Mrs Blount, Mrs Lynch, Miss Morgan ^(a nuisance) – and

a girl of 12 years old named Freeman, who is just ###

recovered from the measles.  – In the Ev’g looked over

the Holkham Catalogue, &c. Received a note from Mr.

Friday 4th. Petrie desiring me to copy from the Holkham

MS. the book on civil actions, &c.
