4 March

Saturday 4th. From ten till 4. in the liby. Adml. Digby

persuaded me to ride out with him, – & having ordered the

horses to be saddled, off we set, – first to the church, – &

afterwards through the superb plantations of Holkham to the

sea-side, where we galloped on the sands for an hour.

In the evening I wrote a letter to Mr. Roscoe – stating to

him what my ideas were with respect to the Catalogue.
