24 March

Friday 24th. Till 12 oC. I was employed in the library,

& the carriage then being ordered to conveytake me to Fakenham,

I took leave of Mr Coke & Lady Anne, with many thanks

for their polite & kind attention to me. The day proved

uncommonly cold, & the whole way from Fakenham to

Brandon it snowed & hailed. I was very tired of travellg,

& at Cambridge  (where we arrived at ½ past 10 oC. p.m.) I got

inside, & fortunately slept the remainder of the journey

to town.
