Friday 14.th Chapel. At eleven oC. lecture: This is now to
be attended every day, except Thursday. There is no
Greek lecture at present, but Mr James says he shall give one
soon, either on Thucydides or Pindar. There is also to be one on Logic.
The Examinations commenced yesterday, & today from one oC.
till 4. I was in the schools. I heard the Examination of a Fellow,
Commoner of Christ Ch. for a first Class. It was not ##so formidable
as I had imagined it, & I think I could attempt it, had I
only time to read, & a tutor to go through the Tragic Poets &
Aristophanes with me. Livy in Ev~g.
