to Geo. Grant. Bought for my Uncle at Beckley’s, Piccadilly
a work in 2 Vols. 8vo. ^1787. intitled Costigan’s Sketches of ^Society & Manners in Portugal,
^in 1778-9; a scarce work, in consequence of its being suppressed
soon after publication. It was written by a Genl. Ferrier,
(then Capt.) & all the people mentioned are well known
to my Uncle.
