Wedny. 12th. At Musm. from 9 till 4. It appears poor Combe‘s
head has been opened by a surgeon of the name of Babington,
and a fleshy tumor discovered ins##ide, which pressed upon
the brain, which produced that apathy so often remarked
during Combe‘s life, & ultimately caused his death. He
is to be buried on Friday next. Mr Lee # assured me to
day (which is a curious literary fact, if true) that the
transln of Milton’s theological work, although passing under
the name of Sumner, was actually writtenmade by Walker of
Trin. Coll. Cambr. Dined in Rupert St. as usual, &
then walked in the Green Park.
