14 July

Friday 14th. At Musm. from 9 till 4. Poor Combe‘s funeral

took place with the usual pomp & ceremony. A D.r

Hawkins attended today, in the place of D.r Baddam,

to arrange the titles of Medecine ^in the Class Catalogue. At 4 oC. I went down

into the City & got my draft cashed at Messrs Vere & Co.

Walked also to the ^Western Institn., Leicester Sq. & entered

my name as a subscriber, paying my 1.£0.0  for the

first six months. Din#ed with Henry atin Rupert St.

& afterwards adjourned to my lodgings, which I like

very much. Wrote a letter to Mrs Powell, to be sent

by Weyland, who is in town for a couple of days.
