Wednesday 14th. As the Responsions or ‘Little Go’es’ in the
Schools were to cease on Saturday next, & as every member
of the University is obliged to attend them during one
whole day, previous to his own examination, I chose to
devote to-day to that purpose, & a most tedious day
it was. Six out of the eight examined obtained their
testamur,-& the Examination appears to me very slight
to what I had fancied it. I was in the Schools from
ten till 4. & then had my Certificate delivered, in
the follow.g form. —
“Junii 14.mo 1826.
Madden, Fredericus, ex Aula Magd.
Responsionibus in Parviso per integrum tempus
interfuit
Ita testor Joannes Mitchel Chapman.”
The weather is now exceedingly sultry, – & only bearable in
the Evenings. I am still very unhappy about the ######appointment
at the Musm.
