Sunday 23^d. Fine day. Chapel, as usual. Didn’t go to hear

the Bampton lecture at St Mary’s – but strolled round Christ Church

meadow. – In afternⁿ walked in St. John’s Gardens, which

are now beginning to be quite beautiful. Dined with D.^r Bliss.
