Monday 27.th Called at 12oC. but once more was
disappointed in not seeing M. alone. Mrs Doolan seems
determined not to leave us together,– which is very
unkind & absurd,– as there was never any difficulty
made before about it. M. walked out with me
& we went shopping into Brighton. I was a good
deal out of humour.
