3 September

Sunday 3d. All the morn’g #^employed on the Holkm. Cat. At 2oC. walked down

to Fulham. My Uncle was engaged to dine out at the Fletchers,

^at Putney & Sir Chs. & Lady Imhoff, with Capt. Cotton, calling to take him

in their carriage, they asked me to accompany him, which I willingly

accepted, & we all went together. It was quite a family party

& besides, those I have named, only Mr & Mrs F., – their two daughters,

& son. The grounds & house are very fine, & if I had not

seen Mr Coke‘s, I should have thought them magnificent.

We returned home about ½ past ten.
